Here are my top 3 types of foods to get at a local grocery store 🛒that help improve GUT HEALTH✨ 1. Foods high in fiber 2. Foods higher in prebiotics 3. Fermented foods Our gut microbiome plays an important role in our overall health. An imbalance of “good” & “bad” bacteria in our bodies may contribute to low energy😴, unexplained weight gain, excessive sugar cravings🍭, digestive issues and even a weakened immune system🤧! The goal is to achieve a balance of bacteria in our gut, which is where these 3 types of foods come in. Fiber essentially keeps our gut lining intact. It feeds and makes bacteria thrive which then helps build a mucus barrier that lowers inflammation in the body while also helping digestion. Fermented foods give us a boost in beneficial bacteria (or probiotics) in our gut.
