Hello friends and family! We registered our team, Ciaran's Wild Foxes, for this year's Lydie's Loop: Steps Against Stillbirth 5K event. We are participating in honor of our beloved son Ciaran. He would be 2 years old this year, and we love and miss him everyday. We want to remember Ciaran and the incredible love he brought into our lives. We also want to work toward the goal of making sure that fewer families suffer the tragedy we experienced (and continue to experience in Ciaran's absence). Since we don't get to parent him as we dreamed of doing, this is one way that we can carry on our son's legacy and ensure that his mark on the world is remembered. There are in-person and virtual registration and donation options. The event raises money for Count the Kicks, an organization devoted to reducing stillbirth. I used the Count the Kicks app during my pregnancy with Finn, and it was a super helpful tool. The event is 9/24, but if you would like to request Ciaran's name on a t-shirt, the deadline to register is TOMORROW, 9/7. (In true Kerry and Chris fashion, we like to do things last minute.)
