Swipe ⬅️ to see the real life town of Santa Claus, Arizona 😮🎅 Founded in 1937, Santa Claus, Arizona was a Christmas themed roadside attraction along Route 66, located about 14 miles northwest of Kingman. The town featured festive stops like the Christmas Tree Inn, which was considered one of the must see attractions on Route 66 during the 1940s. Despite its charm, the town never attracted enough consistent visitors. It was sold to a new owner in 1949 and slowly fell into neglect. By 1983, it was put up for sale again but never found a buyer. The last remaining business closed in 1995. Today, Santa Claus exists as an abandoned ghost town, with dilapidated buildings and fading holiday signs that still draw curious explorers. Much of the site was eventually torn down around 2021, leaving behind remnants of its festive past.
