INGREDIENTS:
2 pounds ground turkey @freshwagon.ca
2/3 cups rolled oats
1/4 cup taco seasoning @fromfarmtotablecanada
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 large egg
1 tbsp smoked paprika
10 tbsps @quietvalley_sizzlesauce
1/2 cup 2% "not milk" @notcocanada
1 large shallot, finely chopped
1 1/2 cups cremini mushrooms, finely chopped
1 tsp olive oil
Sea salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
A handful of dried parsley for garnishing
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. In a small bowl, soak rolled oats in "not milk" and set aside for 15 to 20 minutes.
2. In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, taco seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, egg, half the @quietvalley_sizzlesauce and oats mixture. Season with salt and pepper.
3. On high heat, sauté shallots and mushrooms in olive oil until all the moisture has evaporated, cool slightly then add to the large bowl.
4. Pour everything into a prepared loaf pan and top with the remaining @quietvalley_sizzlesauce and parsley, and bake for 50 minutes in a 375°F oven.
5. Once done, remove and let cool for 10 minutes before slicing and serving with your favourite side(s). Enjoy!
