Go by sky, land, and sea. Go with the flow. And most importantly—go together. That’s exactly how Bella and Sander embraced their elopement. An adventure through and through. We started in the heart of Seattle at their hotel to get ready, which is a different speed compared to the usual Adventure Instead elopements! But it was short lived—we soon found ourselves on the docks boarding a small seaplane. Their giddiness for the day ahead was absolutely contagious. Bella and Sander had one goal for their elopement: spot some Orcas. So imagine the shock and delight AND tears when they spotted an entire pod shortly after take off! Just like that their day was made and everything else to come was a wonderful bonus. After landing at San Juan island we met up with our kayak tour guide. The waters were calm at first as we and towards the end the waves began to pick up. In a blink Bella and Sander’s kayak took on a huge wave. 
Their reaction? “How cool!!” Despite being sopping wet in Pacific water they couldn’t stop grinning and laughing—nothing could dampen their spirits. They settled on the docks where Bella magically whipped out an entire charcuterie board. It was nice and quiet with only the creaks of the dock and the sound of boats moving through the water. And before they knew it the sun had completely dried them off as if nothing had ever happened. After a short ceremony on the docks we hitchhiked (Yes, hitchhiked. Wedding dress, suit, and all.) to the small airport on San Juan Island. We boarded a cessna plane bound for Seattle's Museum of Flight. There they had all of their loved ones waiting to celebrate! The intimate reception was hosted inside the museum around old aircrafts. Everyone was buzzing with excitement as Bell and Sander recounted the day to them. Honestly, I can’t recall a single moment of Bella and Sander’s elopement day when they didn’t have the biggest smiles on their faces. And I hope that’s how they remember their day, too. xx Tori
