Having this painting (one of my all time favorites!) on these @gorumpl blankets is means SO MUCH to me, and here’s why: 7 years ago, I went to Outdoor Retailer, alone. Back then I didn't have much of a social media following, I was still transitioning to being an artist full time, and I had yet to do a collab with a brand. (O.R. is an outdoor industry trade show and it also happens to be where I met my husband, @charles_post but that's a story for another time ;) It was always overwhelming for my introverted self to go to that teeming convention center- because time and time again, every brand I would approach about partnerships would kindly turn me away. I remember being SO nervous and excited to go pitch my artwork to @gorumpl , because I knew their blankets would make the perfect canvas for my paintings. They were kind, but told me a partnership wasn't in the cards at the moment, but I didn't give up on that dream. And I pitched my art to them a few more times before the timing lined up. And now, so many years later, today I am SO proud to launch my third blanket with Rumpl. I think it’s my favorite yet 🥲 I share this story as a reminder that if you keep going, being consistent, and never stop showing up... you just might end up exactly where you imagined, and maybe, just maybe, it will be even better than you dreamed. A "no" like that first one from Rumpl ended up being a huge “yes” later on and a blessing in disguise that motivated me to grow into the artist I am today. Link to these beauties is in bio!!
