I immigrated to America as a young child with my father. It reminds me why it’s so important to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month. Since my arrival 17 years ago, I have been shaped to the person I am today and I continue to grow into the person I dream to be one day. I attribute my ambition to my mother who I had to help enter the country. My family also had a small cafeteria back in the Dominican Republic. My dad would lend money to people which I then had to collect. I learned how to manage a business, negotiate, and work with people. Those were my first entrepreneurial experiences. I continued to build my work ethic, skills and passion to help others and now I sell and help people find their home in the capital of the world, La Gran Manzana!
