Anyone who knows @leontimbo knows that his heart is as big as his voice. He is goodness personified. Back when I was a “latch key” kid (what they called us kids who would come home from school to an empty house or apartment while our mothers were still at work), before I would do my homework I would put on @rogertroutmanofficial’s “The Many Facets of Roger” and @luthervandross’s “Never Too Much” albums and jam out in the living room by myself. To this day, I know the Never Too Much album backwards and forwards. At 26 when I decided to become a bass player and found out about @therealmarcusmiller I realized that I’d been listening to and affected by him my whole life, from The Jamaica Boys to Luther to Miles. It’s one of the reasons I say bass chose me instead of the other way around. When I hear people do this song, I like Marcus, am rarely impressed. However, Marcus saw Leon do this song here on IG, scooped him up, and took him on tour!Listening to Leon’s rendition, you understand why, right?
