➡️the journey of the gown... End of July I received an email from @alexandermcqueen PR w their look books from their most recent collection. This gown was the last image in the look book and I knew right away it was meant to be for Sadie for Venice Film Festival premiere. We fit Sadie 10 days before the film festival in NYC and the gown was not available over those dates. After much persistence and trying to sort out logistical issues we finally were able to get the gown and fit her the day before the premiere in Venice. fitting the day before a premiere of this caliber is very uncommon as we generally need time for multiple fittings for tailoring etc and If you work w me you know the anxiety that this would cause me. We then did 3 more quick fittings day of premiere whenever Sadie had a break from press. Next was the issue of getting the gown from my tailor who was on a different island in Venice all while a regatta (gala lol) was happening and all waterways were closed getting to him + the gown.
