I’ve not known where to start with this one. It was one of my faves of the summer. So beautiful and unique and different! Not a wedding, but a very special 70th Birthday Party we did with Susie- three years in the making thanks to Covid! The theme was ‘Classic Wimbledon’, as it’s one of the birthday girl’s all time favourite things! We had so much fun with it as a team! Let me try and paint the picture.... From a giant, tennis court sized dining table to seat 70, an oversized, vintage wooden Scoreboard, Tonnes of fresh strawberries, thousands of white & green hydrangea, (handpicked in Holland by us!) hundreds of white tennis balls, tens of metres of green turf, antique vintage wooden tennis racquets, a champagne cart, a Pimms station, a couple of umpire chairs, (complete with Susie’s amazing roasting umpire!) homemade vintage racquet coffee tables, white towel embroidered napkins for each guest with famous tennis sayings, a merchandise cart of official Wimbledon wristbands, headbands and white Panama hats, and waiting staff all dressed as ball girls and boys! Not to mention the white chocolate moose tennis ball dessert sat on edible grass from the chef for pudding! This is an event I’ll never forget, a career high! I will be sharing aspects of it over the next few days- it’s going to need a few posts to cover it in all its glory!
