September 2 2022 #chiavari #liguria #italy Leaving Recco we head down the coast to Chiavari which became base camp for some of my most memorable food experiences ever. The town is straight out of the movie Luca with beautiful arch covered sidewalks. Sometimes I find the simplest things in Italy to be the most beautiful, like the layers of texture from a well weathered stucco wall or this fortified iron door that looked like little square raviolis.
