Paolo Sebastian was privileged to have been commissioned by American Express to create couture ensembles in honour of QUEER: Stories from the NGV collection. Gifted to the National Gallery of Victoria, the ensembles were inspired by a modern gender-fluid reimagining of the Shakespearean phrase 'star-cross'd lovers'. Featuring a statement emblem of a heart, crow and dagger along with the embroidered quote, 'a rose by any other name'.
