A day of such big emotions for us all. After watching The Queen’s magnificent funeral in London with our lovely neighbours, We all wanted to wave goodbye and pay our respects one last time so we headed to Tessa’s house in Runnymede. It was quite the trip - Tessa’s road was closed but because we had an older passenger in our party that couldn’t do the long walk down to the procession route the kind police officers let us through and gave us an escort. We had to navigate Tessa’s wild field of waist high grass but were rewarded with a brilliant view - even Alfie the pup was awed to see the Queen on her last journey home. Living so close to Windsor it feels so special to be here right now - Tessa and I were also thinking of Milica her daughter and my darling friend who passed last year, I just know Mil will be the first in line to drop a curtesy and a cheeky one liner to the Queen in heaven- and I know I will be walking a lot in the coming weeks in The Great Park thinking of the Queen and of all she has done for our country.
