Look 7. The Exchange from Curse of Midas
My collection this season was influenced heavily by the legend of King Midas, reflecting on the lesson that not all that glitters is gold.
Legend goes that King Midas awoke to drunken Satyr's and Maenad's in his garden.
Palace guards were about to remove them, but King Midas told them to instead shower them with gifts and riches.
This treatment of his followers pleased Ancient Greek God Dionysus.
Dionysus appeared to King Midas and said he would grant him a wish for his generosity.
Greedy King Midas wished that all he touched turned to gold.
This is represented by the exchange between both models, with Ancient Greek God Dionysus @austinvandeusen gifting King Midas @austinadrian10 a necklace made of bone and gold chain, foreshadowing death by completing his wish.
His food became gold and he nearly starved to death as a result, but he ultimately realized his error when he hugged his daughter, and she solidified into solid gold during their embrace.
