How can I even begin... At the beginning of this season, the reality of this conclusion, a significant chapter of my life, hadn’t yet crossed my mind. Only after our final team meeting, when we prepared for our final tournament, did I acknowledge that this feeling of finality was approaching. Saying goodbye to a team and sport that have shaped me in countless ways was never easy until I focused on the good things that have happened. From creating lifelong friends and a family that I can always count on, to a feeling of belonging that has been with me since I started playing this beautiful sport. I thank god for putting me on this emotional and complicated rollercoaster that I have been enjoying for the last 14 years of club soccer because it paved my way and guided me to be the person I am today.
