@paitorontostory WHAT IF? Life is filled with so many what ifs? What if I hit that free throw? What if I tried harder in school? What if I didn’t forget my keys and have to go back home just to see that I left the oven on?😬😬😬 Life is just a series of moments and choices. Each one leading you to the next moment. It’s so crazy to think about how just one decision could totally change the course of your life! My personal biggest “what if” is what if I decided to go to Bali instead of Thailand on my first solo backpacking trip. It was almost a done deal! No meeting Nuit. No meeting Phai. No Marlee 🥺 But also no “Chef Nuit” in Toronto. No Sukhothai, no Sabai Sabai, no Pai, no Kiin, not to mention the countless inspiration she has put out there in our amazing city. It puts into perspective the impact of @chefnuitregular on Toronto. But there is more. What if my family didn’t have the vision to open Sukhothai? And when it comes to Pai, what if our partner @janetzuccarini decided not to take a chance on this naive, but passionate couple saying that they had what it took to create something really great with her guidance? Life would be so different! Janet celebrated her birthday yesterday and we want to take this opportunity to wish her a belated happy birthday and to continue to thank her for betting on us 🙏🏼🙏🏼❤️❤️ One thing I am sure of though is that I am so grateful that everything turned out the way it did. Life is not perfect, and it’s been a rough road at times, but I’m glad I will never ever come to know the alternative outcomes to these decisions.
