The Ridgeway House’s refined material palette is complemented with appliances that either integrate into the joinery or support the overall design vision. “Given that the planning of the house was integral to the design process, this integration of appliances was a big part of everything feeling cohesive,” says Ha Architecture’s Nick Harding. A French-door refrigerator is integrated into the cabinetry, the induction cooktop is an unobtrusive black glass surface on the stone benchtop, and the built-in oven is both visually recessive and highly functional for family cooking.
