Good times. I love this photo so much. Brings back happy memories of performing with my friends @ppasnyc in Pippin before 2020 started getting mean. Thanks Steps for posting this photo along with my interview. Hoping to be back in the studio soon!

We are happy to announce our new Student Spotlight Series, showcasing some of the talented individuals who are taking our virtual classes.
First up we have Diego! Diego has just completed our Pre-Professional Level 5 and is also an actor in stage, film, and television productions. We asked Diego to tell us a bit about his experiences in a virtual training world.
“As the days in the studio dancing with my SYP family distance themselves from the present, It becomes a little easier to take classes virtually. Though nothing beats having your teachers and classmates' energy filling the room that you're in, you learn to make up for most of that energy by simply putting more effort into your dancing. It's also taught me to pick up combinations faster due to the fact that you're the only one in your space who's taking the class. Copying the person in front of you becomes a very difficult task, especially if the person in front of you doesn't exist. One thing I still have trouble getting around is my framing. Trying to position my iPad in the best place possible is always a hassle. I also simply miss my teachers and classmates. I long for the day that we could all dance together in the same space again.”
