👇🏽 RECIPE👇🏽 Sweetened Plantain or MINATAMIS NA SABA was my favorite childhood snack growing up in the Philippines. A lady in our neighborhood used to sell it for cheap. You can eat it on its own or if you have extra money, ask the lady to serve it over crushed ice with evaporated milk and sago (small tapioca pearls) for a delicious Saba Con Yelo. NOTE: -Adjust the sweetness to your liking. -I added a pinch of salt to balance out the sweetness. -Enjoy warm or cold. INGREDIENTS: ❤️ 5 ripe Sweet Plantain or Saba peeled and sliced into large chunks. ❤️ 1.5 cups of water ❤️ 1/3 cup dark brown sugar ❤️ a pinch of salt 1. In a pan, add water and brown sugar and stir over low heat. 2. Add Saba and bring to a boil. 3. Cover and let the saba cook for 15 minutes or until the liquid starts into a slightly thick syrup. 4. Enjoy warm or cold. #filipinofood #Plantain #Saba #minatamisnasaba #easycooking #dessertrecipe #banana #banana recipe #pinoyfood #Filipino #onthetable #truecooks #homecooking #cookingtutorial #cooking
