ALLELUIA! THE DEVIL’S CARNIVAL. They say a picture is worth a thousand words... this picture is worth more. When I was growing up in Kansas I had a hard time finding my place... I sucked at sports, wasn’t great at school, and wasn’t really sure where I fit in... UNTIL I found theater. I feel my life changed the first time I was cast in a production. The first show I was cast in was Jesus Christ Superstar. That experience altered the trajectory of my life. I fell in love with the music... I feel in love with the movie. Over the next decade of my life in Kansas I must have watched the film 10,000 times. I saw the theatrical production live probably more. Between this show and Rocky Horror, I set my mind I wanted to move to Los Angeles and make musicals. CUT TO two decades later. Here I am standing on set of one of MY musicals with @tedneeleyofficial JESUS himself and Barry Dennen (Pontius Pilot). The very movie that inspired me to become a director myself as a kid has now come full circle. Dreams do come true.
