This dang pando brought me down to some dark places mentally but as I was picking myself up I realized there was something missing from my professional life. I’ve always had ample interests outside of music but none I really wanted to make a career out of when the touring eventually stops. My interest in finance has really grown throughout the last year and a half, so I’d started studying trading and market analysis in all my free time as a hobby. Waking up at 5am to catch open was a habit I really began to love. That ultimately led me to an interest in loan origination which seemed to me like a great crossroads of finance and real estate. I took a course, studied, and passed. I haven’t taken a test in probably 25 years, so I was nervous as hell. But I managed to get thru it. It’s not rocket science, I know, but it was a win I needed. I still have a long road ahead finding my footing in this new world, but for now I’m patting myself on the back. In my day dreams I get to hit the road with my buddies and play shows and come home and put on a suit and help people achieve their dreams. Anyone’s guess how it’ll all work out but I’m here for it, whatever it ends up looking like.
