2022 was joyous and life changing but also tough. So much had happened. I got married to the most patient, kind and loving person. I built my dream project. I lost my grandpa and grandma. I wanted to build Hey Yallah years ago for my grandparents to see. They were always worried about me — about my future. I dropped out of highschool. I dropped out of college. I never really finished any project I began and to have my cafe now after years of telling them about it, I only wish they were here to see it and to know I am okay. I think about them often and I feel like I was too slow and too late. With 2023 here, I can only manifest good things. Making good coffee and continuing to be kind and to provide a safe and inclusive space for the community to gather. Don’t @ me about bad eye, just good things this year 🧿😛
