Delayed Post #latergram Is that what they call it? It was a Friday night alone in the city with nowhere to go except...the Gramercy Tavern. Thought I’d take a stab and see if there was a seat open at the bar. There was. First, lots of looks at my sneakers and backpack. But I powered on, ordered an over priced rose and even got an appetizer to prove I belonged there. And along came a new lady friend, also in sneakers! We left there, walked the city streets (3 miles in total) and spent the rest of the night at a champagne bar w another new friend @therealdownleft (sorry if I forgot to say goodbye...it was past my bedtime!) Fell asleep in the cab. All in all, the perfect NYC night. Saturday, solo brunch at Balthazar, reminding me of the days I couldn’t afford Balthazar but still went to Balthazar. I ordered a half bottle of rose which seemed reasonable at the time. Not sure it was. Slept for two hours. And onto Super Power for @mccannlesser birthday party. Here she is holding lots of balloons in the pouring rain. Here I am waiting for an uber in the pouring rain as I bail on the dance party.
