A month ago, I took part in a photography internship at @lampostluminaries ,you might not know this but I’ve been working in front of the camera for a little over 10 years now. It’s been such a beautiful career but I’ve always wanted to be more & always had so much more to share. Applying for this internship was me taking my ideas & dreams seriously. I’ve known commercial photography as a very white male dominated industry and that’s held me back from pursuing it so long. I learned in this month that it’s also very political and overall a much rougher industry than I’d anticipated but fortunately there are multiple routes to the same end goal & this opportunity showed me that. This is a solid first brick on this road I’m about to travel. So here’s my first ever offering as a photographer, featuring portraits of my beautiful baby brother @dimnino & @retang_sebeka as digital & lighting assist. Thank you to the @lampostsa @lampostluminaries team for having me and to all the assistants & real grafters on set that poured into me during my time there, Let’s see how it goes🚀
