I always loved clothes, especially men’s suiting. Prior to starting my business, I worked in Financial Services for almost ten years. I would wear a suit to work and I was known as ‘the guy in the nice suits.’ For about two years, I saw a coat in my head. I wanted an elegant top coat with fur to wear over my suit during the winter months, but couldn’t find anything that was good quality and affordable. One day, I visited a shop in NYC to see if they had the coat I was looking for and the salesperson suggested, I try and make it myself. At first, I was hesitant because at the time, I just wanted to buy a coat. I decided to take his advice and have it made. Once I started wearing the coat, many people would stop me on the street to ask me who the designer was and I told them me.
