Let’s go: I just spent the last six hours running down the verified attorneys and GoFundMes for Shaye Moss and her mom Ruby Freeman. ❤️ Moss and Freeman testified today before the January 6th committee with incredible courage. Their statements were moving: Shaye said she loved helping seniors vote, because she was taught that voting was incredibly important, especially because her ancestors could not vote. She said that she can barely leave the house now. Her mom Ruby, purposely and baselessly villainized in the media, said that she doesn’t even want to run into people she knows at the grocery store. She said she’s afraid they will greet her by name out loud, and that her safety will be at stake. Both women have been subjected to horrifying threats and racist abuse, for doing nothing more than their jobs. I have verified multiple ways that the GoFundMes for both Shaye and Ruby are legitimate, including with legal counsel and with GoFundMe.
