#upstate ice storm was gnarly: we lost power at around 8:30am as trees were falling down and taking down power lines around Kingston. we lost part of our magnolia tree, a giant branch from the mulberry tree stabbed our jeep soft top, a huge piece of norwood maple took down the wiring to the house, and one of our Adirondack chairs was brutally murdered by the cottonwood. and all of this is AFTER we had limber tree services come through on Wed to remove deadwood! among all of the madness there’s also beauty: our tulip tree left beautiful crystalline tulip buds all over our lawn and our @hortandpott wreath is even more gorgeous as an ice sculpture. stay safe out there!
