Designed exclusively with Béton Brut gallery, the collection sees Horan as a modern decoupeur, applying his material to an original series of works: a daybed, seating, a coffee table and lighting. Informed by French craft traditions of decoupage and the Japanese Mingei movement, Horan innovates with layering handmade paper to create a new applied ‘vegan vellum’ and ‘dragon skin’. This Dragon skin daybed, left raw, is made from vintage Sekishu, a Unesco heritage kozo paper, reclaimed from the giant dragons of Kagura dance-theatre. Even the upholstery is paper! @betonbrutlondon x @david__horan at @l_d_f_official Photographed by @garethhacker With thanks to @altyn_upholstery
