Replying to @JC A few questions to ask/what to consider when choosing a medical practitioner to do your cosmetic work: QUESTIONS TO ASK 1. Who will be doing the procedure on me? 2. How long has this person been doing this exact treatment? 3. May I see before/after photos of this specific person’s work doing the specific treatment I’m looking to have done? 4. How frequently do they go to seminars and trainings to keep up on the latest techniques/advancements? WHAT TO CONSIDER 1. Do they work with manufacturers? This isn’t always the case, but I’ve found more often then naught that injectors who are hired to be trainers of manufacturers, ie Allergan, they tend to be very skilled. 2. What is their aesthetic? Look at the person who will be doing your work, examine their face. Generally, the work they’ve had done themselves is an indicator of their overall aesthetic and eye. It informs you as to what they find ideal and their general artistic aesthetic. If you see someone who is over injected, chances are that’s their aesthetic, which is fine, but if you want something natural looking, then I’d suggest finding someone else to do your work. 3. Referrals are generally the best way to go if you can imo. Because you get to see a living, breathing example of that person’s work — not just a before/after photo.
