Happy Book Birthday! Moving Forward is the first full picture book I've ever worked on, it's one of the biggest and most challenging (in a good way!) projects I've ever worked on and I've learned so so much along the way. It's really wild to think that almost two years ago we started working on this book (for Chris it's been so much longer(since 2016!!)) and now it's here for you all to have in your hands. I'm so excited for y'all to learn about Alton Yates and his journey and I hope that his story is as impactful to you as it was to us. We hope this history inspires you to keep moving forward and be actively working for the betterment of our world. I'm so grateful to so many people right now for being the reason that this book got made.
