Full moon queer marriage ritual for @houseofyesnyc last weekend captured so beautifully by @tommysilvestri 💙 One of our favorite parts of performing in nightlife is the freedom of experimentation we get when we perform durational pieces - often partly improvised - to DJ sets. The relenquishing of the need to have every act blocked down to the second encourages so many magical discoveries. Perhaps it’s my background in theatre, and years upon years of improv, viewpoints, etc, but I feel some of our best work happens this way, and even more magically: it’s ephemeral. These performances, though often informative for our future polished pieces, are never truly repeated. If you were there, you saw it. If you weren’t, you probably never will - at least not like that. These Crown Jewels in our performance life are almost NEVER documented.
