IDS launches its theme for 2023 - MOVING PARTS: Design for a complex world. The pandemic re-configured our lives, from how we furnish our home and office to what constitutes a work day. Following the pandemic, global events changed shipping, manufacturing and pricing. Alongside these phenomena, much of society has accepted and realized the urgency of the climate crisis - yet another factor re-framing how and what we buy. At IDS Vancouver 2023, you will experience the Moving Parts of the design world: products incorporating sustainable materials and components, designs adapting to how we want to live and interact now, and work resulting from reinvented manufacturing. This will manifest in the products the design community present, and immersive installations and experiences at the show.
