Day 66: Today I became the first person ever to run from Asia to London. 71 marathons in 66 days, solo and unsupported but this battle wasn’t won today. It was won on day 4 when I got hit with my first thunderstorm and threw middle fingers up and soldiered on. It was won on day 16 when I got lost in a forest during a heatwave and still found a way. It was won on the morning of day 33 when I washing in a public bathroom sink after nearly no sleep and a battered up body but didn’t give up. It was won when I slept with the wolves and didn’t flinch. It was won when every time my blisters felt unbearable I gritted my teeth and shouted down another 42.2km. It was won when every time something went tits up I didn’t panic and just carried on. The beauty is in the grind.
