one of my most vivid memories is tasting kheer for the first time and absolutely hating it as only a child could hate food. I was so distraught and angry at my mom for making me taste it, her favourite dessert, and I remember her laughing but also being a little sad about it. that was probably one of the three times I have ever tasted kheer previously one of my more recent vivid memories is being quite drunk and barely keeping awake in an autorickshaw, getting very annoyed by my unnecessarily wild curly hair flowing into my face and everywhere else. my bf sitting next to me quietly proceeded to gather it and hold it up for the rest of the 30 minute or so trip back home.
