lets talk summer makeup š
it's finally getting warm enough for patio season which means both your skincare and makeup routine should be switched up! got some makeup tips below meant for hotter weather to keep things looking fresh all day š
š¼ opt for skin tints and light coverage - hotter weather = open pores, avoid congesting your skin with makeup by keeping your complexion light, let your natural skin peak through!
š¼ intentional setting - setting your whole face can end up looking cakey and splotchy, especially if you start to sweat throughout the day. minimalize the amount of powder you use by pinpointing the areas you want to set with powder, or using bronzer/blush to set in specific areas instead! if your undereye concealer starts to crease, using less powder makes it easier to blend over time with your fingers
š¼ skip mascara - i honestly think summer is meant for lash lifts, tints, and extensions. the last thing you want is to have a smudged mascara look from natural oils and sweat. instead, opt-in for a lash setter or tint like @peripera_official ink setting mascara (it's literally a thin tint that sets your lashes) or diy lash extensions like @velourbeautyofficial xtensions (šš» swipe for a close up)
š¼ shimmers for the eyes - lets be real here, your eyeshadow is going to crease no matter what in the heat LOL. using shimmer creams or shadows would make this less noticeable, and it's super easy to blend out with your fingers!
š¼ lip oils/tints > lipstick - the heavy feeling of a lipstick when you're feeling greasy or *moist* is not the vibe. instead aim for a lip balm/oil/tint, or even a sheer gloss with a lip liner as a base to tie the look together!
š¼ dont skip SPF - just dont š
