As we run closer and closer to the end of the year, it’s so easy to slip into business of work and life, forgetting to cherish the sunshine that slips in. And maybe by the nature of being gyopos— spread across different geographies and climates, we can’t see the frost fall the same way we might in Korea. That’s why we’re returning to @han_soom ’s jeolgi to remind us of sangang— it’s the busy season before the real harshness of winter sets in, but it’s also a moment to take pause, reset our spaces, and thank our homes for holding us. “Take time each day to hold yourself steady, with a hand over your heart and a hand over your lower belly, or 단전/danjeon, in this transitional time. As things fall around you, know that you are solid and here.”
