Throwing it wayyyy back. Sometimes I see footage of baby me and I’m so proud of her now. But I was really hard on myself when I was younger. I felt lost and like an imposter at everything. If you told the 25 year old me I’d have a career in food, I wouldn’t have believed you, even though I always had my nose in a book and loved to cook.. I never knew that was a profession open to me if I wasn’t a professional chef. Well into my late 30s I was piecing together a living with acting, writing, modeling and hosting. Because any one of those things on their own were not enough to make ends meet. I still didn’t know what I’d be when I “grew up”. Note to anyone in their 30s and 40s who hasn’t quite figured it out yet: It takes time to become who you really are or want to be. So give yourself a break. It’s ok. And don’t compare yourself to others, that’s just the wrong place to put your energy. Focus on yourself. Just make sure there’s forward motion to your path, wherever it takes you. ✊🏾 #tbt #food
