The beginnings of the Kindness in Community Fund kept me and the @btwfoundation team going at the top of the pandemic, as it provided us with a means to support frontline workers, members of the artistic community and service industry who found themselves temporarily out of work, folks driving the Black Lives Matter movement, and more. It's been one of the proudest moments of my time with the Foundation to help grow it into its current form – a 1 MILLION DOLLAR investment in organizations doing youth-led, accessible, inclusive mental health work in communities coinciding with @ladygaga's Chromatica Ball. @mayabtwf – thank you for this endlessly impactful idea, @terezrae and @maddiewilson___ – thank you for the hours of work and passion you put into making this happen (y’all have been my ROCKS and I promise I’ll have a calming tea soon), to the entire BTWF team – thank you for your tireless commitment to building a kinder, braver world. I invite y’all to check out and celebrate these amazing organizations and the lifesaving work they’re doing across the country. I'm so excited to meet so many new, kind faces this summer.
