How well will transplanted hair grow in a scarring alopecia? The growth of transplanted hair in scarring alopecia is variable from excellent to poor. One option is to do a test mini transplant to determine the growth of transplanted hair.In today’s case we marked 1 cm square patch, removed donor hair from the occipital scalp, made 25 sites within the test area and placed the follicular units .We will determine their growth in the next 8-12 months and decide whether or not to transplant the entire patch of inactive scarring alopecia
