It’s carnival in Venice. It originates as a time dedicated to carefree partying; your last chance to “have a good one” before the lent officially starts. We at nopla believe that we can have fun and spread awareness at the same time. Activism can be beautiful to witness while being respectful to cultural and social traditions. Our founder Francesco, has origins from Venice, and along the nopla team we all felt that carnival in this magical city would be a great moment to spread awareness about the plastic crisis in an engaging way, generating hope, rather that provoking fear and desperation.
