Isabel Casso, Assistant Curator, celebrates one year at MCASD. "Isabel Casso is a fantastic curator. A nuanced thinker, nimble writer, and artist advocate, she’s become an invaluable team member in the past year. She is also a generous collaborator. One of the more unusual things about Isabel is her frequent habit of asking, “how can I help?” When she broke her leg in the weeks leading up to the La Jolla reopening, she showed no small amount of grace and grit as she circulated through the collection galleries on crutches while in the same period, completing hundreds of extended object labels.
