Ad. Can’t have a great sandwich without good bread! I’ve made the ultimate BBLT (burrata, bacon, lettuce and tomato 😍) with pesto mayo. All sitting inside these super soft homemade seeded rolls made with @dovesfarm new Organic Seedhouse Bread Flour. It’s studded with 5 different seeds from pumpkin, to sunflower and poppy seeds. And given that its Organic September right now, there’s no better time to try baking with organic flours.
RECIPE:
500g @dovesfarm Seedhouse Bread Flour
7g dried instant yeast
1 tsp salt
1⁄2 tsp sugar
1⁄2 tsp dried garlic granules (optional)
300ml milk, lukewarm
2 tbsp olive oil
30g melted butter
3 tbsp mixed seeds
Add dry ingredients to a bowl. Make a well in the centre and pour in the milk and oil. Stir to get a rough shaggy dough and then turn out onto a lightly floured surface.
Knead for 8-10 minutes until you have a smooth dough.
Place it in a lightly greased bowl, cover with a clean tea towel and let it rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours or until nearly doubled in size.
Knock the air back and divide evenly into 7 balls. Flatten the balls with the palms of your hands and pat them into oval shapes.
Place on two lined baking trays, cover with a clean towel. Let them rise for 20-30 minutes until puffy.
Preheat the oven to 200c/180c fan.
Brush the tops with melted butter and top with some more mixed seeds. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden and they sound hollow underneath when tapped.
