Something I wanted to do (for many years) was host a Roosevelt Ave. food crawl. What was meant to be a taco crawl turned into a whole other experience as we tried food from Peru, Mexico, Ecuador and Japan. We hit up 12 spots total, some in North Corona and Jackson Heights. This reel is just highlighting the dishes/places that stood out. This is of course is only the tip of the iceberg of what Roosevelt Ave. has to offer š
1. @galdinomolinero_tortas_neza: Tortas Neza has gigantic tortas. These two plates is one sandwich divided into 8 pieces!! We got the Tortas Pumas here and enjoyed it.
2. Mama Suka: cannot find anything about this place online, but this was our top bite. The Ecuadorian dish, Tripa Mishqui, is smoky, flavorful and some of the best intestine Iāve had. Can find their cart on Fri-Sun in Corona Plaza from 12ish-10ish.
3. @MegaCholadosZaris - Diablitos for a spicy mango drink (prob want to share this) or Mangoniada if you prefer sweeter and less spicy.
4. 969 NYC Coffee: Shrimp Onigirazu. Love the balance of their onigirazu!!
5. @Birria_Landia: finally got to go here to try their Birria Tacos with consomeĢ. Their taco shells are slightly crispy than others Iāve tried and consomeĢ is less fatty feeling.
6. La Esquina Del Camaron Mexicano: ceviche spot located inside/on the side of a Vape shop. Itās so good and slightly sweet. Huge loveš
7. @MariscosElSubmarino: saw @jamesyworld and @umieats come here and had to try it (tbh everything they eat looks amazing). Fave was the La Sicaria ceviche that comes with fish, shrimp, octopus, avocado, chili water.
