Something I painted for the most beautiful family home upstate. It’s hard to describe how it happens, but these landscapes sort of pour out. They shift and dissolve — as if I’m just a vessel for what’s meant to be. The process moves quietly toward something that feels certain, and when it’s done, it’s just done.
