jude and claire have been married since i first met them, in the sense that the moment i stepped into their home, i fell into a comfort that made my own feel less far away. where no matter how often the pictures in frames changed, or furniture in rooms reconfigured, everything sat deeply in place, and a permanence remained. jude and claire have been married since i first met them, in the sense that the breadth of a five minute meeting on a weathered, park bench was enough to welcome in a bumpy bus ride to foreign holiday traditions, featuring impossibly endless puzzles & inexplicable food combinations, because they understood the importance of family, and the relief of cured loneliness. though beyond the permanence of fixtures, and the preservation of traditions, it’s been watching them grow from who they once were, to who they’ll soon always be, that has been the biggest pride to witness. so in a sense, jude and claire have been married since i first met them, but oh, what a satisfying wonder to finally see them make it official, and how beautifully so. congratulations @judeobermuller & @claireortuzar, i love you ♥️
