I'm attempting to consume less meat in order to become a vegetarian. Today I'd want to talk about some of the great changes I've noticed in my health since I started eating less meat and more plant-based foods.
-Energy: I have more energy now, which allows me to be more active.
-Weight Management: I was able to keep my weight objective.
-Maintaining a healthy gut: Plant protein and beneficial substances called polyphenols contained in plant diets assist in the maintenance of a healthy gut (tip from biology class), I've been able to use the restroom on a regular basis since vegetarian diets are frequently heavy in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, legumes, and other plant foods, which are high in dietary fiber.
I'm not generally one to attempt to convert others or make them feel bad about eating meat if they enjoy it, but today I simply wanted to share the benefits and how it has helped me. Give it a try for a week or two and share your experience in the comments below, maybe it will help someone else.
