R E N T A L:
If you love dressing up for Xmas or New Year, but know it doesn’t make sense to buy something new for one month of the year, have you thought about renting an outfit for the night?
Rental works especially well for party season: you can enjoy new-to-you pieces, often find something one off and a bit more special without the environmental impact (or the designer price tag) then return once you’ve had all the fun. No brainer.
Here are just some of the local designers and vintage sellers that offer rental as part of their business model: some work with rental platforms, others have a rail set aside, or are happy to answer dm requests and make suggestions.
It may not be as straight forward as shopping the high street, but if just one person reacts to this post and wears something rented locally on New Years Eve, we’ve made a start right? ( please let us know if you do!)

And while we’re talking about rental: @or_collective are offering GIFT VOUCHERS now so you can treat someone to a stylish rental subscription box for little ones as a Christmas gift too.
*If you’re a local fashion business that offers rental that we’ve missed out here, please let us know in the comments below.
