this is an excerpt from @jenhatmaker’s instagram post this morning (from her conversation w/ @thetylermerrittproject). we cant forget this. when horrific shit like what went down last night in colorado springs happens... it’s crucial that we try our best not to lean into hopelessness. that shit will stall us out, change our shape and swallow us whole. progress happens. not at the rate we want. and not in as straight a line as we feel we need... but it happens. always. and ppl digging their heels in to keep it from happening ALWAYS end up steamrolled by time. so we mourn this awfulness. and we get enraged. or we dont. all the while, progress is happening. tragedies like what happened at club Q will not be our forever storyline ❤️
