Christopher Hincke, Database Manager, celebrates eight years at MCASD. "Chris Hincke epitomizes a man who ‘wears many hats’– he first came to the Museum as a Special Events intern, while getting his degree in Chemistry at the University of San Diego. He decided return to USD, obtaining a second degree in Art History, as he is also a painter, and came back to MCA for a second internship with the Advancement Department. The team felt he was such an asset, when the position of Database Coordinator opened up in 2014, we called up Chris and asked him to apply. 8 Years later, Chris has quietly, and behind the scenes, been the backbone of the institution– he has managed every detail and functionality of our database, set up all our front of house systems, created and implemented all our ticketing platforms. As if that wasn’t herculean enough, he also strategically mines our data and records to find donor prospects, does background research and creates bios and has ensured that we have years of solid data and reporting all neatly printed and filed in binders for reference. His love for MCASD is infectious (he and his wife Nicole were the last wedding on our La Jolla campus before the renovation!) and his institutional knowledge and history is irreplaceable.
