The world has been in turmoil, and it didn't feel right to share fashion photography or even keep my Instagram active. More important things deserve(d) the space. The fashion industry largely exists in a fantasy world, but I am excited to be surrounded by a progressive and ever changing industry which continues to embrace modern ideas and an exciting future. There is still so much work to be done! I photographed this cover in December 2019, and was proud of the casting the team put forward for a magazine in this market. To feature a beautiful Muslim woman wearing a hijab signaled major change was coming, whether we knew it or not - and I am so proud to ride that wave. Diversity is beautiful, and beauty is beauty!
